FC Barcelona’s Gerard Pique and Shakira have called it quits after a 12-year romance

Shakira and Gerard Pique have split, and the Colombian singer and Barcelona star have confirmed. The pair, whose relationship began in 2010, have two sons together, Milan and Sasha. Shakira and Gerard Pique have separated, per the Colombian singer and Barcelona ace. They have been inseparable since 2010 and also have Milan and Sasha who are the couple’s two kids. It follows after the Barça player was supposedly found in bed with someone woman after winning the World Cup with Spain in 2010 per Marca.

According to reports, the pair has been staying apart for a couple of weeks since Pique was expelled from their private residence. He has been residing in a bachelor home and enjoying a “social life” since the splitting, according to Spanish publication El Periodico. According to some sources, the Spain player has been hitting up nightclubs with friend Riqui Puig and his pals, arriving back as dark as two or three a.m.

Shakira, a three-time Grammy victor with a combination of Latin and Arabic rhythms and rock influences, is among Latin America’s finest artists, with tracks like “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Whenever, Wherever” garnering massive global blockbusters.

She sang with Jennifer Lopez at the NFL’s Super Bowl championship game halftime show in Miami in 2020, which is generally among the most half-hours of US television. Pique, 35, is a three-time Champions League champion with Barcelona and has claimed the 2010 World Cup and the 2012 European Championship.

Pique’s playing status at Barcelona has lately been called into concern due to a spate of injuries, yet he still proceeded to play 39 times for the Blaugrana in 2021-22.  As per rumours in Spain, he has no plans to retire just yet and currently has two years remaining on his contract at Camp Nou. The 35-year-old is expected to become the club’s future president.
