FA Cup: Manchester United progress to the next round

Manchester United defeated West Ham United in the 5th round of the FA Cup.

Manchester United secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup after defeating West Ham by 3-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday in the fifth round. The Red Devils put on a solid performance against the Hammers, dominating possession and creating numerous chances throughout the match.

The first goal of the match came in the 55th minute when Benrahma made an exquisite finish to take the lead against host. The United fought back and equalized in the 77th minute but it was an own goal from West Ham’s defender Aguerd.

In the second half, Manchester United continued to dominate, with Bruno Fernandes pulling the strings in midfield and creating several chances for his teammates. It was Garnacho who scored the second for United in the 90th minute. Later Fred made it 3-1 and United completed the comeback.

Overall, it was a strong performance from Manchester United, who looked confident and in control throughout the match. The win sees them progress to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup, where they will face Fulham.
