Southampton took the early lead in the 22nd minute, as new signing Adam Armstrong wasted no time by opening his account for his new club as he carefully buried a powerful effort past Jordan Pickford into the top right corner after an awful mistake from Michael Keane was made during the play. Che Adams nips the ball and passes to Armstrong to shot past Pickford as he scores on his Premier League debut.
Everton provided an all-star second-half performance as they equalised with the likes of Olympic gold-medallist Richarlison as he fired the volley over the top corner to beat Alex McCarthy on the 47th minute as it was beautifully assisted by new signing Andrews Townsend. They extended their lead in the 76th minute as Frenchman Abdoulaye Doucoure scored an absolute stunner as he smashed the ball in the top-right corner to put the hosts up by 2-1. The Toffees’ completed the comeback on the 81st minute as Calvert-Lewin opened his account for the season when Richarlison gave a beautiful cross as the shot was powerful for Mccharty to save, as they seal victory by 3-1 against Southampton. Everton showed a remarkable comeback as they roared past Southampton, as they are third in the Premier League table.
