Belgium defeated Sweden in their first game of the UEFA 2024 qualifiers on Friday night, 24th March. The Inter milan and Belgium’s striker named Romelu Lukaku was in blistering form in this game as he scored three. Only one player was on the scoresheet and it was none other than Lukaku.
Lukaku’s hat-trick came at the right time for Belgium as they started off their qualifiers in a good way, beating a good Sweden side by 3-0. Lukaku scored his first goal in the 35th minute. Only a single goal was scored in the first half and the second and third came in the second half by the same man.
‘Big Rom’ scored his second and third in the 49th and 83rd minute respectively. Sweden got no chance to make a comeback as they were never seen in a good position in the game yet they deserved to lose this one. A disappointing start for the Sweden would not be the fans expecting from them.
