
Denmark knocked out Wales 4-0 and reached the quarter-finals of the Euro 2020 tournament in the round of 16. Kasper Dolberg scored twice in each half at the 27th and 48th minute and became the first Danish player to score a brace in a European championship game since 2012. Joakim Maehle at the 88th minute and Martin Baithwaite at added minutes, 90+4 just before the full time whistle struck for their side to win with four goals and a clean sheet over Wales.
They became the first side who scored four goals in successive Euro finals games which is the biggest championship win since 1984.
Started with defeat vs Finland, where Danish team almost lost one of their teammates Christian Eriksen, who collapsed on the pitch due to cardiac arrest and was performed CPR on spot before he was transferred to hospital for further examinations and finally came off hospital after a successful operation, Denmark lost two of their group stage matches. Finland took a 1-0 victory against them in the opener followed by 2-1 loss vs Belgium.
Denmark won their crucial 4-1 match day 3 against Russia on Tuesday and qualified for the knock out phase, kept their winning streak alive vs Wales and became the first team in Euro history to score 4+ goals in consecutive matches.
Brace hero, Kasper Dolberg was awarded as the Star of the Match for being too good with the ball.

“Everyone is disappointed, obviously. We have missed an opportunity. But I am proud of all of them for the efforts,” said Wales captain Gareth Bale.
