First-half strikes from Thomas Delaney and Kasper Dolberg helped Denmark take the lead against the opponents in Baku on Saturday as Patrik Schick’s fifth goal of the tournament in the second half made him the highest goal scorer of the Euro 2020 with Cristiano Ronaldo (5) couldn’t help the Czech Republic dominate.

Denmark started with a loss to the opener match against Finland where their player “Christian Eriksen” suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch and the match was suspended temporarily until he was awake and out of danger. They have now netted 10 goals with their previous three games despite losing their first two matches.

The Danes reach their first Euro 2020 semifinals in 29 years since they became champions in 1992. They are now the first team ever to progress from the group stage of the Euro 2020 after losing their two opening games and the first team in the tournament finals history who scored four goals in successive matches.

Danish midfielder Thomas Delaney who plays for Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund was awarded as Star of the Match for his performance.Â
