Erling Haaland wins Premier League Player of the Month for September

Manchester City’s striking sensation Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for September, marking his fourth time winning the prestigious award since joining the English champions in 2022.

The Norwegian forward delivered another month of exceptional performances, scoring five goals and providing one assist across City’s league fixtures in September. His clinical finishing and relentless presence in the box once again proved decisive for Pep Guardiola’s side, who continue their push to win the Premier League title again.

Haaland’s haul of goals and crucial contributions in tight matches that highlighted his value as the league’s most feared striker. His assist further demonstrated his growing all-round play and understanding with teammates such as Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku.

With this latest accolade, Haaland has now joined an elite group of players with four Premier League Player of the Month awards to their name. In doing so, he equals the tally held by legends such as Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, Son Heung-min, Marcus Rashford, Jamie Vardy, Alan Shearer, Paul Scholes, and Dennis Bergkamp,  an extraordinary achievement given his relatively short time in English football.
