Erling Haaland is set to join Manchester City this week following clearing a medical and the Premier League winners notifying Borussia Dortmund that the 21-year-€75 old’s million (£64 million) buyout clause will be enforced per Fabrizio Romano.
The German side is scheduled to reveal the agreement soon after Haaland told them of his intention to leave following two and a half years in Germany. The player and the club have negotiated on personal terms. Haaland is set to accept a five-year agreement with a basic wage of roughly £350,000 per week plus significant bonuses.
Erling Haaland finished his Manchester City medical on Monday and headed to Dortmund. The Norwegian attacker will enter the Premier League in a hefty transfer if the agreement is finalised.
After signing the German side in early 2022, Erling Haaland has proven in outstanding goal-scoring shape, making him one of the trendiest assets in international football at the moment.. In 66 league outings for Borussia Dortmund, he possesses 61 goals.
Several renowned sides, notably Real Madrid, PSG, and City, have been associated with the player at various periods. With Dortmund’s vital player Robert Lewandowski’s status unclear, Haaland Jr has been recently linked to Bayern Munich. Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic, on the other hand, had closed out a deal for the attacker. He stated this to Sport1: “We won’t be Erling Haaland’s next club, that’s for sure.”
Haaland is a prolific goal scorer with 134 goals and 36 assists in 182 total outings. Haaland’s enormous muscular stature – he is 6ft 4in – has been a root of worry, as he sidelined 26 matches for Dortmund between November 2020 and January 2022. At the age of 21, he has now played 181 senior games, and City feels certain he will be a breakthrough.
