Erik ten Hag wants to keep Scott McTominay despite transfer interest

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has expressed a strong desire to keep midfielder Scott McTominay, despite ongoing transfer interest from West Ham, Fulham, and other clubs. McTominay, valued at around £30 million, has been a target for several teams this summer.

Although United is not actively seeking to sell the 27-year-old, they will consider serious offers. Turkish club Galatasaray has also shown interest, but a move there seems unlikely.

Ten Hag emphasized McTominay’s importance to the team, praising his performances and versatility. Despite missing United’s recent pre-season match against Rangers to focus on fitness, Ten Hag believes McTominay is a key player for the squad.

As Manchester United looks to strengthen their midfield, they are interested in signing Manuel Ugarte, Martín Zubimendi, and Sofyan Amrabat. The club will prioritize player sales after completing deals for Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee.

Ten Hag stressed the need to build a strong squad for the upcoming season and remains focused on making the team as competitive as possible.
