
Tammy Abraham who returned to Chelsea FC back in 2019 after his loan spell from Aston Villa, was given the number 9 jersey. He was very delighted to play at the striker’s position for his academy club. He also scored a hat-trick for Chelsea in the 2019/20 Premier League season against Wolves.
The 23-year old flew to Rome on Sunday to complete his medical and to sign the official contract with Roma. The former Chelsea striker has signed a five-year contract with the Serie A side (AS Roma FC). Tammy Abraham was officially announced as a Roma player on Tuesday by the club.
“You can sense when a club rants you – and Roma made their interest clear immediately. Roma is a club that deserves to be fighting for titles and trophies,” Abraham said in the Romapress podcast.

Tammy, 23, joined Chelsea at the under-eight level. Mourinho closely saw him when he was the manager of Chelsea FC at that time. Mourinho always liked him and sees him as a proper number 9 player. This year he joined AS Roma because Jose wanted a striker as Edin Dzeko the former Roma striker left the club and joined the last year Serie A champions, Inter Milan just two days back. The club has also announced that Tammy Abraham will be given the number 9 shirt at Roma.
