England team known as “Three Lions” are the favourites in this mega tournament Euro 2020. This team became the first team to reach the semi-finals with four wins and a draw along with no loss. They started their campaign by facing Croatia. In the first match, the goal of Raheem Sterling led the England team to victory against Croatia (1-0). So, they started their campaign with a win.
After Croatia, they faced Scotland as their second match of the Euro 2020 campaign. The result of this match ended in a draw of 0-0. The English team then defeated the Czech Republic in their third match of the campaign. In the match again, Raheem Sterling scored a goal and led his team to victory over the Czech Republic.
This victory booked England’s spot in the Round of 16 where they had to face Germany. Though, Germany with a strong unit failed to defeat the in-form England team. England had won the game by 2-0 along with Harry Kane’s and Raheem Sterling’s goals.
Till now we must have noticed one thing that whenever Raheem Sterling has scored in this campaign, England had won that match. After thrashing Germany in the Round of 16, they faced Ukraine.
However, looking in good touch the England team defeated Ukraine by 4-0 along with Harry Kane’s two goals. It was a glad moment for English fans to see their captain back in form after a poor start in the tournament with no goals. Now, the Three Lions will face Denmark in the semi-final at Wembley, London.
