Army Green and their opponent, Jamshedpur played some great end to end football during the first half. The first big chance came from the Greens who missed a clear header and the goalkeeper just had to watch the ball move past the net. Metei was the best attacking threat for Jamshedpur as he created the most chances for them but most failed. Mawia took a shot from distance to open the account for Jamshedpur but it was saved by goalkeeper Sharath.

Green’s Lallawkima had two chances to open their account but whiffed his chances. The first blood, though, was drawn by them as Deepak received the ball and thumbed it into the net before the first half ended.

The Jamshedpur defence did no better during the 2nd half as Army Greens were high in confidence after the first goal. That confidence led to Deepak scoring another goal for his team just after halftime during the 48th minute as he nudged another ball past the net.
The Greens sealed the game at the 57th minute when Sochin Chhetri scored a goal from a cross given by Sukesh Leon.

Jamshedpur pegged one back as the Greens conceded a penalty during the 60th minute. Subhash of the Army Greens got penalized for a handball in the box and LL Jitu scored one from the spot to make it one for the ISL club.

Jamshedpur FC almost conceded a fourth goal before the end of the match as Rishi and Vishal Yadav came together near the goal but the chance was lost for the Greens.

Ultimately, Greens would find this win comfortable with them getting their first three points in this game from Group B as the race for the Quarter Finals has been blown wide open in the Durand Cup.
