Rodrygo’s brace at stoppage time with Benzema’s extra-time goal power Real Madrid beat Manchester City to reach the Champions League final.

A moment that stunned the whole sports fraternity. It was when everyone thought that Real Madrid was done but Rodrygo came with a brace at stoppage time to power the match to extra time.

Mahrez started with a lead for Manchester City that put them 5-3 on aggregate. While everyone thought it was over for the 13-times Europen Champions, the Whites bounced back in the stoppage minute when Brazilian striker Rodrygo scored two goals in a minute. The 21-year old netted at 90′ and 90+1′ to strengthen his side for an extra-time game in which, Karim Benzema added one at the 95th minute for the lead with 3-1 (6-5) on aggregate.

Madrid lost their first leg against the Premier League champions City with a score of 4-3. Carlos Ancelotti’s team will now face Liverpool in the battle for the title who beat Villarreal yesterday in the semifinals.

In addition, tennis stars 21-times Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, emerging star 18-year old Carlos Alcaraz and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina were there in the stadium to watch the match as they travelled to Spain for their ATP Mutua Madrid Open tournament.
