Liverpool is through to the final of the Carabao Cup after defeating in-form Premier League side Arsenal in the semifinal second leg on Thursday night. Liverpool’s forward Diogo Jota scored a brace which helped the Reds book a spot in the final of this season’s Carabao Cup. Jurgen Klopp’s men beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal by 2-0 in Emirates Stadium (Arsenal home stadium). Liverpool was so disappointed after the first leg of the semifinals as it ended with a scoreline of 0-0 at Anfield. Arsenal did manage to keep Reds away from goals in the first leg but couldn’t do the same thing in the second one.
Talking about this game, Liverpool took a lead inside 20 minutes of the game. The Portuguese forward Diogo Jota scored a brilliant goal which beat Arsenal’s goalkeeper Ramsdale and gave a strong lead to the visitors. One of the best right-backs in the world right now Trent Alexander-Arnold gave an assist to Jota which led to the first goal. Looking at the stats, Arsenal wasn’t bad enough and seemingly didn’t totally deserve to lose this game but they were against one of the best teams in the world right now so it was obvious that win against Jurgen Klopp’s men wasn’t going to be easy.

Both the teams were creating equal amounts of chances in the second half as well but Liverpool’s defence didn’t let Arsenal’s attackers score even a single goal. Later in the 77th minute, Jota completed his brace with a wonderful goal which was again assisted by Trent Alexander-Arnold. The goal somehow confirmed the Reds’ place in the finals. With this victory, Liverpool cruised to the final of the Carabao Cup where they will face Chelsea FC at Wembley Stadium.
