Ángel Di María has signed a one-year contract extension with Benfica, ensuring his stay at the club until the end of the 2025 season. The veteran forward, who played a crucial role in Argentina’s triumphant World Cup campaign, has proven to be a valuable asset for Benfica.
Last season, Di María showcased his talent and experience, contributing significantly to the team’s performance with key goals and assists. His ability to influence matches and his leadership on and off the pitch were amazing in Benfica’s successful campaign.
Recognizing his impact and the potential benefits of his continued presence, Benfica moved ahead in a positive direction to secure his services for another year. Di Maria will be seen in Benfica’s jersey for atleast one more year. However the January transfer window could be the one he could think of leaving in.
