Deshorn Brown’s hat-trick helps NorthEast United earn a point against Mumbai City

Mumbai City FC had to share the spoil with NorthEast United as the final score of the six-goal thriller match was 3-3 on Monday. Angulo scored a brace for Mumbai and Brown scored all three goals for the host.

NorthEast United and Mumbai City had an amazing 90 minutes on Monday as they were against each other at Fatorda Stadium. The game was indeed spectacular as the six-goal thriller ended with a scoreline of 3-3 at the end. Neither of them took all the three points from the match after displaying such a fabulous performance on the pitch. The goal show was started with Deshorn Brown’s superb goal after Imran Khan gave the ball to the 31-years old striker who made no mistake to put his team in lead in the 29th minute. However, league leaders (Mumbai City FC) were never behind in this game and they scored an equalizer in no time. Igor Angulo was the one who opened the scoring for the visitors in the 33rd minute. Des Buckingham’s men didn’t take much time for their second goal either as they were on the lead in very quick succession after forward player Bipin Singh scored the second goal for them.

Mumbai City FC was leading in halftime by 2-1. Buckingham’s men started the second half with some energy and 7 minutes later they found their third goal as well which was again scored by the striker Igor Angulo. NorthEast was way behind the visitors in this game especially after that third goal from Mumbai City. But, Khalid Jamil’s men never gave up and started making attempts on Mumbai’s goal.

It was Deshorn Brown again who scored his second goal in the 55th minute to make the score 2-3. Mumbai City FC enjoyed much of the possession in the whole game but their silly mistakes were causing problems for them. In the 80th minute, Brown completed his hat-trick with an emphatic finish and this goal leveled the scoreline for the host. Thus, the exciting game ended with 3-3 and neither of the team won important three points.
