Deadline day: Keylor Navas signs for Nottingham Forest on loan

PSG’s goalkeeper have been signed by Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain have signed a new goalkeeper from the Ligue 1 side named Keylor Navas. Navas was one of the starters for Paris Saint-Germain and thus it was shocking to see him moving to a Premier League’s mid-table club named Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest wanted a new goalkeeper for the rest of the season and approached PSG for Navas’ signature. Navas is all set to play in the English Premier League after having a great time with PSG earlier this season. The contracts between the clubs (Paris Saint-Germain & Nottingham Forest) has been signed already and he will be unveiled as new Forest’s player in the coming hours.

The deadline day was perfect for Steve Cooper (Nottingham Forest’s manager) as he finally got a new goalkeeper. Now after Navas has left PSG, it is very likely that Euro 2020 golden glove winner Gianluigi Donnarumma will start regularly for them. Donnarumma was a second goalkeeper of PSG until Navas was there and now is expected to get his chances.

“Official, confirmed. Keylor Navas joins Nottingham Forest on loan deal from Paris Saint-Germain,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano.
