Hakim Ziyech won’t join Paris Saint-Germain from Chelsea FC on loan as the deal is completely off due to lack of time. The deal was agreed a few hours before the January transfer window ended and the documents were signed from the Chelsea’s side but were not sent back by PSG on time.
As the Morocco’s winger couldn’t be registered on time and the January transfer window ended, he will be staying at Chelsea FC for the rest of the season. PSG were on the verge of signing him on loan until June 2023. The deal is now off as reported by Fabrizio Romano and PSG will end up with no new winger in this transfer window.
Hakim Ziyech wanted to go to PSG and thus the personal terms were already agreed between the club and the Moroccan.
“Contracts are not validated as things stand after Chelsea and PSG exchanged docs. Deal currently off,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Wednesday morning, 1st February just after the January transfer window ended.
