Matthijs de Ligt who made the move to Manchester United this summer transfer window from Bayern Munich is finally happy again. He was at Bayern where he wasn’t getting much games to play but United have incorporated him into the 11 very well and he is happy to be here. De Ligt himself opened up about his life at United as he said, “I am enjoying it a lot at Man United. We have a great group, amazing guys. Hopefully we can get more results like last weekend and grow as a team.”
This summer, Manchester United bolstered their defense with the signing of Dutch center-back Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich. After a difficult stint in Germany where playing time was limited, de Ligt has quickly found his footing at Old Trafford.
At Bayern, de Ligt struggled for regular minutes, which impacted his form and confidence. However, since his move to United, the 24-year-old has been integrated seamlessly into Erik ten Hag’s starting XI. His leadership and composure at the back have been key in shoring up United’s defense.
With de Ligt flourishing in his new environment, both he and Manchester United will be hoping his presence can lead to continued success on the pitch.
