Jamshedpur FC defeated FC Goa in the Hero Indian Super League fixture which was played at GMC Athletic Stadium on Friday. Only a single goal decided the result of the game and that goal helped Jamshedpur to be in the top 2 of the Hero Indian Super League 2021/22 season’s points table. Jamshedpur FC is just a single point behind the table-toppers Hyderabad FC who won against Odisha FC by 3-2 on Thursday to claim that spot. The two-time ISL finalist, FC Goa is not having a good season as they have already lost 6 games and has only 14 points in 14 games they played.
The 9th placed team in the table (FC Goa) was playing really good football against Jamshedpur FC but couldn’t take three points from the game as there weren’t any goalscorers for them on Friday. The first half was very entertaining though it went goalless. The second half started with a bang for the host (Jamshedpur FC) as they found the opening goal in the 49th minute. Jamshedpur’s striker Daniel Chukwu was the one who gave the lead to the host as that goal from him proved to be a winning goal.

Talking about the stats, FC Goa was ahead of Jamshedpur FC in everything except goals and that is only the thing that matters the most. Despite keeping 70% of the ball, the visitors couldn’t find the net and thus, had to face this loss. Meanwhile, Hyderabad FC and Jamshedpur FC are in great form this season as the top two teams look to win the 2021/22 ISL season’s trophy.
A debut to remember! 🔥
