The Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has notified his social media followers that he will not be travelling to Chelsea this coming Saturday.
Ronaldo made the option to leave the game early by leaving the bench during United’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Manager Erik ten Hag said that he wanted to focus on the performance of his team when asked about the incident after the game, but he said he will “deal” with the 37-year-old on Thursday.
The team’s absence of Ronaldo for this weekend’s trip to Stamford Bridge was confirmed by United in a statement the following day. Ronaldo has now addressed the situation. The following was shared by the forward on his Instagram in which he emotionally mentioned and wished for the team’s comeback.
