Cristiano Ronaldo will tackle North Macedonia in a playoff final, attempting to take Portugal to the World Cup later this year. Italy was eliminated from Qatar last week in an unexpected turn of fortunes. Ronaldo made a point of saying that he has no aspirations to withdraw from football anytime soon while questioned regarding his upcoming future. He said as reported by Fabrizio Romano, “I enjoy football and I still feel useful both at the club and at the national team. I will decide when I want. If I want to play more games, I will, if I don’t feel like it, I don’t play more.”

Ronaldo faced a goal drought with the Red Devils temporarily, but he overcame it remarkably a few weeks ago with a hat-trick against Tottenham. However, there is a possibility he will not return to Old Trafford following season, primarily if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League. They are now in sixth place, four points behind Arsenal, who retains the final berth.
