Manchester United will face a huge issue as their club legend Cristiano Ronaldo requests to depart the club. Ronaldo has been massively disappointed in the club who has failed to even qualify for the Champions League as United failed to finish top 4 in the Premier League last season. It is said that the Portuguese striker believes that he has the quality to perform at the top level for another 3-4 years and hence he would want to go to a club where he will get top-level football.

The 37-year-old came back for his second stint at Old Trafford in 2021 from Juventus. Cristiano Ronaldo played a very key role for Manchester United last season. He was the top scorer for the club. The 2021-22 Premier League campaign witnessed him scoring 18 goals and providing 3 assists in 30 matches making him the third-highest goalscorer in the league. Ronaldo was even brilliant in the Champions League for United. Last season was the only time in his career where he became trophyless since 2010.

Ronaldo would not want to leave Old Trafford on a bad note as the club means a lot to him personally. United is the club where he was seen by the world and he performed exceptionally well. He became the Ballon d’Or winner for the 2008 season during his time at United. Ronaldo would only want to leave the club if an offer which is quite good would be received by Manchester United for him. He recently had also been linked with teams like Bayern Munich and Chelsea who right now are in a much better position than Man Utd. In the coming days, we will be hoping to see where Ronaldo would go.
