Cristiano Ronaldo drops behind Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema in FIFA 23

Benzema moved up from 14th place to first place in the game by gaining two points to his overall score.

In FIFA 23 rankings, Cristiano Ronaldo dips to eighth place, behind Lionel Messi and top-ranked Karim Benzema. The Manchester United forward has dropped from third to eighth place despite only losing one point from his overall score from the game’s previous season.

Benzema, a former Real Madrid teammate of Ronaldo’s who is now a strong candidate to win the Ballon d’Or, moved up from 14th place to first place in the game by gaining two points to his overall score.

Four other players have ratings of 91 or higher, while Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi loses two points and drops from first to fifth after a lacklustre debut season in France.
Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe, and Kevin De Bruyne fill the spaces between the erstwhile El Clasico opponents, while Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool fill the spaces between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

FIFA has only revealed the top 23 players for the forthcoming match, with two goalkeepers seeing the biggest changes in their rankings.

Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid in the Champions League final, rose ten spots from 19th to ninth, while Jan Oblak, an Atletico opponent, fell two spots from seventh to twenty. But Ronaldo, who had his pace decreased by six points to 81 and his passing rank drop by four points to 78 from last season, will probably be the most disappointed of all the players on the list.
