Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first person to have 400 million followers on Instagram

Portuguese star crosses 400 million followers on Instagram, making him the most followed person on the social media platform.

Cristiano Ronaldo who is one of the greatest players of all time has crossed yet another big landmark on social media, becoming the first person to cross the 400 million followers on Instagram. The Manchester United star, a few days back celebrated his 37th birthday and thanked all his fans and colleagues for sending him wishes.

The jump in his Instagram followers from 399 million to 400 million just happened after a few days after he posted a photo of him celebrating his 37th birthday.

The striker has a total of 3,242 posts with an average of 10 million likes per post which he uploads on Instagram. Ronaldo himself only follows 501 Instagram accounts.

American model Kylie Jenner is second on the list of the most followed person on Instagram after Cristiano Ronaldo with a follower count of 308 million. Whereas PSG star Lionel Messi is third on the list with 306 million followers on the social media platform.

At the age of 37, the Portuguese star doesn’t show signs of stopping. He said in an interview “He feels he is genetically 30 years old and takes great care of his body & mind and wants to see if he can play until the age of 40,41 or 42 but the most important thing is to enjoy the moment”.
