American coach Gregg Berhalter said that Pulisic had a slight ankle injury and they are going to get more updates on it when he goes back to London and the manager was not sure the severity of the injury now.

During the game, he played a big role in the lead-up to Antonee Robinson’s equaliser during the 48th minute. At the 57th minute, Pulisic dribbled past Deybi Flores and was in the penalty area but got dropped by a tackle from Maynor Figueroa, a former Wigan and Hull , who now plays for Houston. Pulisic tumbled over and the brunt of it fell on the leg. The staff looked at him for two minutes. He did some test jogging and declared himself ready.

When he tried to receive a pass from Kellyn Acosta at the 61st minute, he fell on the ground after kicking the ball out of bounds from Jose Garcia. Pulisic was replaced by Christian Roldon.

Pulisic is the first American player to win the Champions League this year. He also won the Super Cup with Chelsea against Villareal. Pulisic scored a goal in the opening game for Chelsea’s season against Crystal Palace. Overall, he has scored 6 in 43 appearances for Chelsea last season compared to 2019-20’s 11. He will probably miss the match against Aston Villa at home.
