Just a few weeks after his sudden collapse during Denmark’s Group B game against Finland in the ongoing UEFA Euro 2020, Christian Eriksen was reportedly spotted with a young Danish fan at the Tidvilde Strand beach on Friday. Eriksen, one of the finest midfielders in European football, was discharged after undergoing a successful operation to have a cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implanted last month.

Eriksen had suffered a horrifying on-pitch cardiac arrest and the entire sports community had come in unison to wish the Denmark midfielder a speedy recovery.

The Inter Milan playmaker was spotted on Friday, all smiles as the Demark midfielder was pictured with a young fan. The first public image in public after Eriksen’s tragic on-pitch cardiac arrest soon became the talk of social media. Fans and followers of the beautiful game expressed relief and left heartwarming messages on the post.

According to reports from Denmark, Eriksen was looking “healthy” in his first public appearance after leaving the hospital. After undergoing a successful operation the Danish international had returned home on June 18. A fan had the chance to take a picture with recovering Eriksen at Tidvilde Strand beach in northern Denmark on Friday.

The Denmark midfielder suffered a cardiac arrest during his side’s 1-0 defeat against Finland at Euro 2020 on June 12. He was resuscitated and taken to the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen.
