Chennaiyin FC clashed against Northeast United in the 12th match of Hero ISL 2021-22 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa. where Chennaiyin FC managed to still away from the 3 points from Northeast United by the time match of 90 minutes ended with the win of 2-1. 23minute of the game and Federico Gallego need to be stretched off the field due to a knee injury during the match.

In the first Quarter of the game, Northeast United showed their little domination over the field against Chennaiyin FC by playing the most ball between them but that doesn’t stop Chennaiyin to lay their foot on the ball, as both the teams are seen to get few chances near the goal. The last goal of the match was on behalf of Chennaiyin FC scored by the team captain Anirudh Thapa with a fine finish on goal and the team regained the lead and maintained it till the end of 90mins game. Northeast failed to make last moment equalizer on the score and with this full time of match ended with 1-2.
