Lukaku, who rejoined Chelsea in August 2021 for a club-record fee of £97.5 million, has had a tenure at Stamford Bridge. Despite showing decent performances, the Belgian striker struggled to find consistent form, leading to speculation about his future with the club. His recent loan spell back at Inter Milan, where he previously enjoyed great success, only rumors of a permanent departure.
Enter Napoli and their newly appointed manager, Antonio Conte. Known for his tactical knowledge and motivation, Conte has a history with Lukaku, having managed him during his highly successful stint at Inter Milan. Chelsea are aware of Napoli’s interest in the striker.
