The Premier League side is set to make their fourth signing of the January transfer window as they have made Joao Felix as their priority forward signing. However it won’t be a permanent deal as per Fabrizio Romano but a loan deal until June 2023. Joao Felix will be in the English Premier League for 6 months and he has already given green light for this transfer.
Atletico Madrid wanted Joao Felix to stay at the club but the player wanted a move and the club decided to send him on loan instead of selling him permanently. Not just Chelsea FC but there were other clubs who were interested in the winger. Manchester United were also looking for the Portuguese forward as they are searching for a new striker after Ronaldo left the club before FIFA World Cup 2022.
Joao Felix has now interested in joining Chelsea and personal terms are not an issue as reported by Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday morning.
“Chelsea are now expected to close in on João Félix deal in 24/48h — as final details of the agreement with Atletico Madrid are being finalised,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano.
