Manchester United’s midfielder Casemiro picked up another yellow card and got a suspension of one match in the game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. Manchester United dropped two points against Palace on Wednesday night and it was the first time that Erik ten Hag’s men lost points while scoring first this season.
Erik ten Hag wasn’t happy with the result with Palace and was also with Casemiro’s fifth yellow card of the season. As per rules, If a player gets 5 yellow cards in a season, then he/she gets a suspension of one match which will be their next game in the Premier League.
Casemiro was already on four yellow cards and Erik decided to play him on risk. The Brazilian handled himself well until 80th minute but then got the card which rule him out for their next game which is against table-toppers Arsenal FC on Sunday, 22nd January.
Manchester United also had a chance to go second in the table but a late free-kick goal from Olise was enough to make them stay on 3rd. Now Newcastle United have a chance to go above Man United if they win their next game.
