Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is an automatic choice for the Brazil coach position, the country’s Football Association president Ednaldo Rodrigues told Reuters in an exclusive interview.
Brazilian FA president Ednaldo: “I really admire Ancelotti. He’s not only players’ favourite but fans’ too. Everywhere I go in Brazil, Ancelotti is the first name the supporters ask me about” 🇧🇷 #Brazil

Ednaldo Rodrigues said, “Ancelotti is highly respected among players. Not only Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius Jr but all those that have played for him. I admire him for his honesty in working and how diligent his work is. He needs no introduction. He is a top coach who has achieved a lot, and we hope he can achieve even more.”
Rodrigues acknowledged to Reuters that the 63-year-old Italian was his primary target and everyone’s favourite to lead Brazil. Brazil’s last coach Tite left the job after being knocked out of the 2022 World Cup by Croatia in the quarter-finals.
“Ancelotti is not only the players’ favourite but also the fans’,” Rodrigues said. “Everywhere I go in Brazil, he is the first name supporters ask me about in every stadium. Their affection for him stems from his exemplary work throughout his career. Let’s have faith in God, wait for the appropriate time, and see if we can make it happen as we look for the new Brazilian national team coach.”
Brazil goalkeeper Ederson also discussed the potential appointment and publicly said Ancelotti coming to Brazil would be exemplary.
Ederson: “I spoke to Casemiro, Vinicius and Militão… there's a big possibility that Carlo Ancelotti is gonna become the new coach of Brazil”. 🚨⚪️🇧🇷 #Brazil
“We will try to eliminate Real Madrid so that Ancelotti can come to Brazil as quick as possible!”, he added smiling. pic.twitter.com/Kx87b3reaa

Ancelotti was one of the main topics of conversation this week in the Brazil dressing room ahead of Saturday’s friendly against Morocco. This was due to several players like Vinicius Jr, Ederson, Rodrygo and Casemiro speaking highly of the Italian.
