Carlo Ancelotti has picked his favourite to support for World Cup

The Italian manager will support Canada after Italy failed to qualify.

After Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup after they lost to North Macedonia in the play-offs, it shocked the football community. Roberto Mancini’s team will sit out a second World Cup, meaning Carlo Ancelotti who was supporting Italy was hoping to cheer them on to World Cup glory in Qatar 2022 has to support someone else. The Real Madrid boss has revealed that he will now be supporting Canada after the Azzurri failed to qualify.

Canada has qualified for the World Cup finals for the second time in its history. They qualified for the first time in 1986. They qualified this time by topping the CONCACAF qualifiers and the Real Madrid boss is looking forward to supporting them.

The Italian tactician told Rai Radio that ‘He will cheer for Canada in the World Cup as they have been missing for many years and it is his second home.’ He also stated that the ‘President of the Canadian Federation is from Abruzzo, so everyone cheers for Canada.’

Ancelotti is yet to dip his toes in the world of international management, having spent his entire coaching career in club football with AC Mila, Juventus, Chelsea, Paris-Saint Germain, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
