“Cannot claim about the attitude” claims Ronald Koeman after getting thrashed by Bayern Munich 3-0

The Barcelona boss admitted that his team was struggling against a strong Bayern Munich who outclassed them in every position.

On Wednesday, Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona was immensely thrashed and crushed by German Champions Bayern Munich by 3-0 held at Camp Nou. Barcelona failed to register a single shot taken against Bayern in their first group stage in the new season of the UEFA Champions League.

The performance showed by Barcelona was hopeless as many players were tired during the game with no chances created as well they lacked in possession entirely. They struggled majorly to score a goal as there was a sea of injuries with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Martin Brathwaite and Ansu Fati all missing during the important game.

FC Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman after the match, clearly mentioned “I can’t complain about the team’s attitude, but there’s a big difference in quality between the two teams” after his team performing terribly against Bayern Munich.

The match started with Bayern Munich dominating the headlines as they were tried very hard to open their account against a side without the presence of Lionel Messi for the very first time. Robert Lewandowski did end up scoring a brace as he completely fooled the Barcelona defence with two supreme goals before Thomas Muller also getting on the scoresheet. The Polish striker was in top form as they brutally demolished Barca with history repeating.

The shortage of Lionel Messi was already proving to be a bigger problem for Ronald Koeman. They ended up losing against Bayern Munich for the 3rd successive time in the UEFA Champions League. Barcelona will now have to look for answers as they look forward to regrouping and find progress against the other two sides.

In his latest press conference, Ronald Koeman highlighted that there was a huge difference seen between the two sides today. There is nothing to complain about the result at the end of the day. The Barcelona boss is hopeful that their side will bounce back in the competition.
