Cancelo gets his first assist as Bayern hit 4 against Mainz

Bayern Munich defeated Mainz by 4-0 in the DFB Pokal.

Bayern Munich had a fixture in the DFB Pokal on Wednesday night, 2nd February. Bayern Munich won it easily as they scored 4 against Mainz without a reply. The round of 16 game couldn’t get better for Bayern as it was a total dominating victory for the visitors.

Visitors also played with a debutant in the game as their new signing from the Premier League’s side Manchester City Joao Cancelo started this game. It took only 17 minutes for the debutant Joao Cancelo to register an assist for Bayern Munich. The goal was scored by Choupo-Moting. Star youngster Jamal Musiala scored in the 30th minute of the game which doubled the lead for Bayern Munich.

Leroy Sane also registered a goal in the game which was the last goal scored in the first half of the game. Bayern were deservingly leading by 3-0 at half-time. Before Mainz 05 were down to 10-men in the later half, Alphonso Davies scored the winning goal.

Bayern Munich are now in the quarter-finals of the competition (DFB Pokal).
