Borussia Dortmund, the German football club, has reportedly shown interest in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher as their midfielder, Jude Bellingham, could be moving to a different club this year.
The 23-year-old midfielder was a standout performer for Palace last season, despite their struggles in the Premier League. Gallagher’s impressive performances have led to speculation about his future, with several top clubs reportedly interested in signing him.
However, the interest from Borussia Dortmund has raised eyebrows, particularly as it comes at a time when their young midfield sensation, Jude Bellingham, is being linked with a move away from the club. Bellingham, who joined Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020, has been a key player for the German outfit and has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Manchester United.
If Bellingham were to leave, Gallagher could be seen as an ideal replacement for the 19-year-old, given his impressive performances in the Premier League this season. Gallagher is known for his tenacity and work rate in midfield, as well as his ability to create chances and score goals.
