Borussia Dortmund defeated RB Leipzig by 2-1 in the Bundesliga game which was played on Friday night, 3rd February. It was played at Dortmund’s home ground named Signal Iduna Park. The game was very thrilling and it could have gone either side but the brilliance of Dortmund players won it for them.
The host was dominating and it was expected too. Dortmund took the lead in the 21st minute from the penalty spot. Marco Reus made no mistake from the spot to make it 1-0. Midfielder Emre Can didn’t take much time to double the lead of the host (Borussia Dortmund). Dortmund were leading by 2-0 in the first half.
RB Leipzig did try hard to make a comeback in the game but it was always going to be tough for them. RB Leipzig however pulled one back in the 74th minute which was a great strike from their forward Forsberg. With this victory, Borussia Dortmund are now the league leaders of the Bundesliga overtaking defending champions Bayern Munich.
