Bernando Silva muses about his futures with Manchester City

Manchester City’s Bernando Silva is uncertain about his future at City.

Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva explains why he intends to leave the club. Bernardo Silva revealed in a subsequent interview with The Times that he planned to depart Manchester City last summer because he wanted to be closer to his family, rather than for any football-related reasons.

Bernardo Silva, generally regarded as one of football’s best players, has risen to unthinkable peaks for Manchester City and under Pep Guardiola’s mentorship this season. His heroics, especially in significant games, have astounded fans and experts alike, and he even garnered three consecutive in-house Player of the Month honours between September and November, a club record.

If Bernardo Silva had all been able to push through a Manchester City move that he had demanded in the summer, situations could have turned out very differently. “We’re in the middle of the season and we want to win trophies. Now is not a good time to talk about my future”, he said as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Football players were confined into little bubbles owing to the scenario surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak, so games could occur without interruption.
Bernardo has expressed how the pandemic drove him homesick, which spurred his urge to leave.
Bernardo then provided an update on his plans for the future, stating that he plans to meet with the club at the end of the regular season to talk about whether he wishes to remain, depart, or sign a new contract.

Silva is now one of Manchester City’s greatest players this season, and his potential of leaving must be disappointing for boss Pep Guardiola.
