Spain was able to break the Azzurri’s unbeaten run of 37 games and won by 2-1, both goals were scored by the young talented Manchester City’s Ferran Torres. France overcame a big lead against the No.1 team in the world and was able to come back from down 2-0 to 2-3 in the second half.

The first half was a very preservative one, both teams could not find a clear chance to score a goal, Spain as usual dominated the ball with 63% of possession. Pogba has been a menace on Spain’s defence, his through balls have been very consistently accurate and able to find his men but yet France could not seize the opportunity, France suffered a huge loss at the 41st minute, Raphael Varane limps off injured, pulling up after playing a pass and pulls his hamstring. Not something Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be pleased to see. Bayern Munich center-back Upamecano comes on in his place.

The 2nd half was as same as 1st half both teams were not able to get the job done until at 60th minute, after with a wonderful counter-attack from France but ended with a pole, Spain jumped right back in and finally was able to find the net thanks to Busquets, who lifts the ball over the top towards Oyarzabal and then finishes it perfectly into far post but 1-0 lead didn’t last long as in-form Karim Benzema scored a beauty from just within the D-box, he cuts in from the left and curls an unstoppable shot into the far corner.

PSG forward Kylian Mbappe who was having a very rough night finally had something to celebrate and smile about, he was able to get past U. Simon with an accurate assist from Theo Hernandez and a step-over lefty finish from the young star Kylian Mbappe to go up by 2-1. With this France became the winner of the UEFA Nations League.
👏🇫🇷 Congratulations, @Benzema
