Chelsea FC have officially signed Benoit Badiashile from Monaco on Thursday, 5th January. This is Chelsea’s third signing of this January transfer window. They have already signed a new midfielder and a new striker this month. Chelsea signed Benoit Badiashile on a six-year deal which will be valid until June, 2029.
Benoit Badiashile is a young left-footed centre-back who can also play as a left-back when required. He was linked to so many clubs in the summer 2022 but no team made a bid for him. Chelsea was the admirer of the defender and wanted him after their newly signed defender Wesley Fofana who they brought in from the Premier League’s side Leicester City.
“Badiashile signs until June 2030* and says about Chelsea move: I’m very happy to be here at Chelsea. I’m so excited to start playing for this club,” tweeted Fabrizio Romano on Thursday after the deal was made official.
Monaco FC will receive a fee around €38 million for Benoit Badiashile as reported by Fabrizio Romano via his social media handles.
