Bengaluru FC signs attacker Danish Farooq from Jammu and Kashmir on a two-year contract until 2023.

Jammu and Kashmir player Danish Farooq has agreed to a two-year contract with Bengaluru FC and the attacker is staying with the club until 2023. The Indian Super League club, ahead of their AFC Cup playoff stage game against Eagles FC confirmed Farooq’s signing by an announcement on their site on Sunday.

The Indian Super League side Bengaluru FC had been monitoring the player’s improvement at his previous club namely Real Kashmir, where he spent five years before moving for the ISL club.

The 25-year-old, who is the only player from Jammu and Kashmir to be signed for the club, spent his youth profession at the J&K football academy playing. He attained a shift to Lonestar Kashmir in the I-League second division by his brilliant performance followed by his move to Real Kashmir after a season spent at Lonestar and is now aiming to show his rapid effect for the club at the upcoming AFC Cup with the Blues.

“BFC is one of the best clubs in the country, and I am delighted to have an opportunity to be a part of it. My immediate challenge is to do well in the AFC Cup and the Indian Super League. My ultimate goal is to achieve success with the club and to grow as a player,” said the newly signed attacker.
