Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg by 4 goals, go 9 points clear of Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich defeated Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga as they continue their winning form in the league under Julian Nagelsmann.

Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg by 4-0 in the Bundesliga on Friday night. The match was held at Allianz Arena Stadium (Bayern Munich’s home stadium). It was a pretty one-sided game as Wolfsburg didn’t come up with any goal in the match. Bayern now has a huge 9 points lead and is sitting comfortably in the 1st position of Bundesliga 2021/22 season. There were four different scorers for Bayern on Friday, namely Thomas Muller, Dayot Upamecano, Leroy Sane, and the ‘Striker of the Year’ award winner Robert Lewandowski.

Bayern started dominating the ball and the game since the referee blew the whistle. The host started leading in just 7 minutes after Thomas Muller scored an easy tap in goal from the rebound and makes it 1-0 for Bayern. The first 45 minutes saw only one goal, but there was a lot to come in the second half. The newly signed defender Dayot Upamecano scored his first goal for Bayern Munich in the 57th minute after the scorer of the first goal, Thomas Muller directs the ball to the back post and the Centre-back was ready to tap in which makes the scoreline 2-0 for the host. The defending champions didn’t waste much time to find their third as just after two minutes German forward Leroy Sane cuts inside and curls the ball which goes away from the goalkeeper and it was 3-0 in quick succession.

Even after doing some changes in the second half, Bayern was looking comfortable on the ball. Later in the 87th minute, One of the strongest Ballon D’0r contenders Robert Lewandowski found the net to make it 4-0 for Bayern. The goal from Lewa was his 43rd Bundesliga goal in 2021. He also made the record of scoring most Bundesliga goals (43) in one calendar year. The earlier record was of 42 goals made by legend Gerd Muller.
