
La Liga giants Real Madrid and FC Barcelona were up against each other in the Super Copa finals on Sunday night, 15th January. It was another el classico to end the competition (Supercopa 2022/23 season). The La Liga’s defending champions Real Madrid lost it against FC Barcelona in the finals by 1-3.
This was Xavi’s first trophy as FC Barcelona’s manager. Since he has came in as manager, he has been fantastic and many signings which proved to be crucial for them.
First goal was scored by Barcelona’s young midfielder named Gavi. The goal from Gavi came in 33rd minute which gave the deserved lead to Barcelona against Real Madrid. Lewandowski scored the second or the game just before the half-time whistle to end the half by 2-0.
In the second half, another midfielder named Pedro scored the last goal for Barcelona which nearly confirmed the victory for them as they went 3-0 up against Real Madrid. Just before the full-time, Real Madrid pulled one back which was scored by none other than their striker Karim Benzema.
