
Barcelona’s star frontman Sergio Aguero was forced off the pitch after complaining about chest pain in the first half of their Sunday game against Alaves. The striker was starting in the first team ahead of Luuk de Jong, under the command of the temporary coach Sergi Barjua. After almost through an actionless first half, Aguero suffered an awkward clash and was left on the Camp Nou turf. Following which he was substituted before halftime in the 41st minute of the game.

Later, according to reports of TOI, the club released a statement in which they said, “Sergio Aguero was struggling with chest pain for much of the first half and was replaced by Philippe Coutinho at halftime.” They also posted on their official Twitter handle that Aguero “report chest discomfort and has been admitted to the hospital for a cardiac exam.” Even their interim manager Barjua gave an update on his health stating that the Argentine told him that he was feeling dizzy, later he was taken to the hospital. There is no further update on Aguero’s health since then.
Barcelona drew the game against Alaves after taking the lead in the 49th minute. They remain in the 9th position on the table with just 16 points from their 11 matches.
