Barcelona advance to the Copa da Espana final as they beat Real Betis on penalties

Barcelona won it in penalty shoot out to book their place in Super Cup finals.

FC Barcelona had clinch a close victory in the semifinals of the Spainish Super Cup to book their place in the finals of the competition. FC Barcelona had a tough game against Real Betis which they won in the penalty shootout. The penalty shootout was as entertaining as the game.

Real Betis made an exquisite to take this game to extra time and penalties as well. FC Barcelona scored the first goal in the game and it was none other than their newly signed striker Robert Lewandowski who put the visitors in lead in the semifinals.

The second half was poor from the Xavi’s men as they gave up their lead in the 73rd minute when Nabil Fekir equalised it for Real Betis. The game went into the extra time when the scoreline was 1-1. Ansu Fati scored a wonderful volley goal in the first half of extra time to take back the lead which was again snatched back by Betis just before the half-time whistle.

Barcelona’s goalkeeper Marc Ter-Stegen made two exquisite saves in this penalty shootout to make their team the finalist of the Copa de Espana. Now FC Barcelona will face Real Madrid in the final game of the Super Cup.
