ATK Mohun Bagan jump to third, as manager Juan Ferrando gets his second consecutive victory

ATK Mohun Bagan has defeated FC Goa by 2-1 in the Hero Indian Super League on Wednesday. Juan Ferrando was against his former team FC Goa and he helps ATK Mohun Bagan grab their fourth win of the season.

ATK Mohun Bagan is in the third position in the Hero Indian Super League 2021/22 points table after a 2-1 victory against Derrick Pereira’s FC Goa on Wednesday. It was a great game for Juan Ferrando as he was in charge of the home team (ATK Mohun Bagan) for only the second time and he helps ATK bag all three points from this game. This was his second consecutive victory as ATK Mohun Bagan’s manager which sees them at the top 3 of Hero Indian Super League.

FC Goa had a very good game in terms of possession, shots taken, and passes as well but in terms of the scoreline, ATK won the battle. The goal show was started in the 23rd minute when ATK’s attacking midfielder Liston Colaco scored an amazing goal which stunned the away side. The first half sees only a single goal which came from the ATK Mohun Bagan’s midfield man Colaco. Juan Ferrando’s team didn’t stop here, they scored another goal in the second half, but this time it was ATK’s well-known striker who also plays for the Indian National football team, Roy Krishna who bags his first in the match.

ATK was sloppy on the ball, and FC Goa despite having a lot of possession on the ball couldn’t able to create and score. Derrick Pereira was not happy with his boys as they weren’t able to score goals even after taking 14 shots on the opposition’s goal. In the 81st minute, FC Goa did pull one goal back but it wasn’t enough for the visitors to take points from this game and they were defeated by 2-1 at the full-time.
