The face off between Mouhan Bagan and East Bengal always pores a thrill and excitement among the Football fan. These two teams are considered to be the oldest football clubs of India. Today these two teams ATK Mouhan Bagan and SC East Bengal fought against each other in the Kolkata Derby of on-going Hero ISL on Tilak Maidan, Goa.
In the beginning SC East Bengal start with the high pressing game but ATK Mouhan Bagan as well played with high intensity in front of the opponent. ATK won the match with three goal and SC East Bengal have to stayed at blank only. The scored all three goals with in the 30 minutes before the first half ended, Roy Krishna who is the 5th highest goal scorer, served the team its first goal at the 12th minute of the match. The second goal was added on by Manvir Singh just a couple of minutes after the first goal at 14th minute.
After that third goal was come by Liston Colaco at 23rd minute. Today SC East Bengal was seen a little weak in front of their opponent as the keeper of SC East Bengal Arindam Bhattacharya, who is also the captain of the team was suffering from injury. But defenders of SC East Bengal provide good support to their injured keeper on the goal line. ATK build up a strong squad throughout the whole match. Due to Arindam’s injury team decided to made the tactical substitution, Arindam changed with Suvam Sen and Amarjit Singh Kiyam comes on for Lalrinlana Hnamte. In the second half of the match SC East Bengal changed their defense line from 3 men to 4 men and showed counter attacking some times. ATK managed to maintain clean sheet against SC East Bengal. Man of the match earned by Joni Kauko for his well attacking and defensing at a time for the team.
