Arsenal go 8 points clear at the top; beat Spurs 2-0

Arsenal FC have defeated Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League on Sunday, 15th January at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Mikel Arteta’s side was again up and running against the opponents as they brilliant form in Premier League continues.

Arsenal started off well as they were on the ball since the start. Arsenal took a chance in the 14th minute which gave them their first goal. It was an own goal from the Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeper named Hugo Lloris. The world cup 2018 winner did a mistake and it lead to the visitors’ first goal.

It was Saka’s shot which was going out but Lloris’ hands changed the direction of the ball and it went into the net. In the later first half, Arsenal’s captain Martin Odegaard scored a wonderful goal from outside the penalty box of Spurs.

The shot from Martin Odegaard was so beautiful that it gave no chance to Hugo Lloris to save it. Martin Odegaard who won the Premier player of the month award for November-December scored the winner for Arsenal and they went 8 points clear at the top.
