Arsenal beat Chelsea in a six goal thriller at Stamford Bridge

Nketiah’s double helps Arsenal beat Chelsea 4-2.

Stamford Bridge hosted the North West London derby as rivals Chelsea and Arsenal locked horns in a Premier League fixture. Chelsea went into the match in a secured 3rd place, whereas Arsenal went into the match trying to get a win so that they can secure the 4th and final champions league spot at the end of the season.

Mikel Arteta decide to make a couple of changes for Arsenal in the form of Eddie Nketiah and Rob Holding and that paid off as Nketiah stepped up to the occasion and hit a well-deserved brace.

That first half of the match was an entertaining one as it saw Arsenal lead twice and Chelsea equalizing both the times. Eddie Nketiah latched on to a mispass from Andreas Christensen and put it past Edouard Mendy in the 13th minute. Chelsea equalized in the 17th minute through Timo Werner. Arsenal took the lead again in the 27th minute with a classic counter-attack through Emile Smith-Rowe. Chelsea equalized again in the 32nd minute when Cesar Azipilicueta tapped in a Mason Mount cross. Nketiah scored a striker’s goal in the second half in the 57th minute. Bukayo Saka stepped up to take a penalty in the 92nd minute and sealed the deal for Arsenal when he was brought down by Azpilicueta.
