Antonio Conte questions his own future as Spurs continue to have poor form

Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte appeared to be questioning his own future at the club after his side faced their fourth defeat in five Premier League games with a 1-0 setback to Burnley.

Antonio Conte seemed frustrated after watching his team lose again. Spurs lost 1-0 to Burnley who are 18th on the table and are also struggling to not get relegated.

Conte spoke after the 1-0 defeat where he showed his concerns towards the players and his own future at Tottenham.
Conte was appointed in November to replace Nuno Espirito Santo. He called the current run as “unacceptable” and cast doubt on his ability to turn around the club’s fortunes. “Maybe I’m not so good. Tottenham called me to change things but I’m too honest. I could just take my salary, but I’m too honest. We’ve lost four out of five games. This is unacceptable.” He further said after the match that it was a difficult night and not just that night but the previous nights where Spurs lost four out of five games. “It means there will be [an] assessment about the club, about me, because I think for me it is very frustrating to lose four out of five.”, he commented after the match as reported by BBC.

Even though Spurs are only three points off fifth place and have games in hand on several teams around them, Conte considers their form is more akin to that of a team battling relegation. Even though he believes he is fully serving the club, he worries that his initiatives are insufficient.
